My name is Vania Fundinger-Sawant and I am a freelance sworn-in translator. I can translate and proof-read your text in the following languages: Portuguese-German,
German-Portuguese, English-Portuguese and English-German. I graduated as a translator at the Department of Translations, Linguistics and Cultural Studies (FTSK) in Germersheim, a
department of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
I grew up in Portugal, perfectly bilingual and had the Portuguese as well as the German language and culture placed already in my cradle. Since early childhood I was active in two
different cultures and have developed a great command over the German and the Portuguese language. This enables me to translate your texts in a manner that they are understood
correctly and idiomatically in the respective target language.
Through multiple-months long stays abroad in English-speaking countries, I was able to gain valuable insights in these cultural domains and acquire advanced English skills.
Since September 2016 I am a member of the BDÜ, the Federal Association for Interpreters and Translators.
